Do you know an individual or organisations who uses photography really effectively? Perhaps you know a blog with great photography, a company with a compelling Flickr stream, or someone who is using video really effectively to create compelling content - nominate them here.

Shortlist

The shortlisted candidates in this category:

  • Andy Marshall - Nominations say Andy: "engages numerous social platforms such as twitterfacebook and flickr to amazing effect. He enlightens his followers with a fine blend of information/comment and some very special architectural photography. He succinctly gets the message across of who he is and what he does, by offering generous insights into his life and work without ever 'selling'," and "Andy’s integrated use of social tools – Vimeo, Flickr, blogging, mobile me, augmented reality, and his enthusiasm for the subject he collates naturally attracts enthusiasts."
  • tCn - the Construction Network - Nominations say: "Video is becoming more and more popular and so tCn added a central and independent module for all content relevant to the built environment. It has been very successful so far with many videos having more views than on YouTube," and "tCn encourages members to upload videos for promotional or educational purposes. All videos are relevant to the built environment relating to companies, careers, products, demonstrations, events and initiatives."
  • Cantoo - Nomination says: "Cantoo is an arts organisation working in education and the public realm. Through their appointments on various BSF and education projects, they have been running consultation workshops with the schools to develop an art programme that will inform, enhance and complement the design process.  They use photos and video to document their work which has proved to be a highly effective way of giving a sense of pride and ownership of the art that is incorporated into the schools as a result."
  • London CE Club blog - Nomination says: "This blog uses very short videos to provide an impression of the club and the people who attend the meetings together with an overview of the topic for the meeting. The club actively encourages networking across a wide spectrum of people in the industry, the blog seeks to show this diversity. ... Some of the blog entries have been used to promote the use of particular speakers!"
